Why does there seem to be so many knee popping incidents in MMA?

I remember watching a video one time where some guy threw a nonchalant knee at this opponent and was blocked but when the opponent blocked the knee, th other guys chin wrapped completely around his competitors leg like it was a wet piece of spaghetti.

Anyway, I’m sure a fighter rather be knocked clean out in stead of this happening to them…

Guy Tries To Rob MMA Fighter

And in a feel good story for the day, an alleged robber in Chicago picked the wrong man to try to rob.

Anthony Miranda, 24, attempted a robbery and carjacking, but the person he was trying to rob was a 33-year-old mixed martial artist who competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championships.

According to police said Miranda approached his car on near Kenneth Ave. and 55th St. and asked for a light. The MMA Fighter, who did not want to be identified, said he didn’t have a light when Miranda pulled a gun, demanded valuables and told the driver to get out of the car, police said.

Miranda was left with bruises all over his face and a bullet in his own ankle after the gun discharged during the one-sided fight, according to the report.

The UFC fighter held Miranda on the ground until police arrived.

Miranda got a much needed trip to the hospital and is being held on $350,000 bail.

According to the Tribune, Miranda is on parole and has served time for multiple burglaries. He was released from prison in March 2010.

Personally, I would’ve snapped this guys neck…
